Decoupage Mosaic Picture as Home Decor
Home improvement ideas using crafts are abundant. In fact, one of them is the use of decoupage mosaic picture, which can be a perfect way to spice up your home decor. Actually, it is an art produced by decorating a surface with cut-outs of pictures or shapes that can then be coated or painted with varnish or lacquer.
Initially, you can prepare your mosaic picture by drawing or printing out the image. You will then need to cut out squares of the decoupage picture. This must be very small and can include different shapes if you desire. Just ensure that the colours of the paper should correspond to that of the picture. Such would include blue, green, white and yellow squares of paper. Gluing the whole thing together should be your final concern. Therefore, you should use a pencil to make faint outlines of the shapes needed for your picture. Make sure that you do it on the wood or cardboard that you have prepared. You can then arrange the squares of colour on the backdrop.
When done, use the decoupage medium or white craft glue to attach each square to the background. You may then apply a thin layer of glue to each square and stick it in place. If you prefer, you can brush another layer or two of the decoupage medium over the whole thing, once the paper mosaic pieces are in place.
